Stained Glass Suncatcher - 1 Day

Workshops are limited to four people to allow for plenty of group tuition time and individual guidance.

First you will learn about the different art glass techniques over a cuppa and be briefed on health and safety in the studio. Then the fun begins.....  

During the day you will be creating your own Tiffany style stained glass sun-catcher.

You'll select a pre-designed pattern, cut out the pieces and keep them safe for later when you will have the choice of a huge range of beautiful glass to make your sun catcher. You will then be guided through the different steps you need to take to transform the glass into your very own masterpiece.

During the day you will learn how to

• cut and grind stained glass pieces to fit a pattern. 
• apply adhesive copper foil tape to your glass pieces
  
• solder the pieces together and to complete your masterpiece
• attaching support rings.
• apply patinas, and waxing
